Who We Are

Why Choose Paws Forever?

We treat your pet, like our pet!

Kathy Kuebler, MHS, founder and owner of Paws Forever, brings experience, compassion, and a special gift of empathy to her work with pets and the humans who love and are loved by them. Kathy is certified in pet loss and grief companioning through the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association and the Pet Loss Professionals Alliance. She’s made it her life’s work to safeguard the final journey of our pets, to extend her gift for comfort and guidance to humans who experience this loss.

With degrees from Saint Louis University and Washington University, Kathy’s been part of the St. Louis community all her life. Additionally, Kathy has a long history of community volunteerism, especially for animal causes, including Dirk’s Fund Golden Retriever & Large Breed Rescue, the Humane Society of Missouri, and having served as an advisory board member for Five Acres Animal Shelter and Hope Mending Hearts.

The pain of losing her own dearly beloved Golden Retrievers, Sam, Alex and Sophie, started Kathy on this path nearly 20 years ago. “Sam, Alex and Sophie were my family,” she explains. “They did so much to enhance my life, and at the end of their lives I wanted them treated like the special beings they were.” Kathy also lost KC, her beloved partner in Paws Forever, in 2017. She now has her companion, Bentley, by her side.
